Airuishen Alumni Network (Cuaa.net), a third-party evaluation institution, released 2025 Ranking of China’s Universities Conducted by Airuishen Alumni Network: A Guidebook for College Application on January 6. Guangzhou City University of Technology (GCUT) ranks the 7th in Category I (science and engineering) among China’s private universities and tops among private technology universities in Guangdong province based on its high-quality school running. It remains in the list of China’s six-star top application-oriented universities.

It has been 23 years since Airuishen Alumni Network first released its ranking in 2003, which is developed into a leading brand of the ranking of China’s universities with considerable social influence, credibility, and innovation.

The evaluation system of 2025 ranking of China’s universities conducted by Airuishen Alumni Network consists of 12 first-class indicators, including level of school running, ideological and political education, teaching quality, outstanding alumnus, high-level personnel, disciplines and majors, scientific research projects, scientific research bases, scientific research achievements, social services, social reputation and international influence. It carries out systematic evaluation based on the framework of “large platforms, great teams, big projects, remarkable achievements and outstanding alumnus”, which covers over 900 evaluation indicators.

GCUT has kept strengthening overall Party leadership since its establishment in 19 years ago. It stays committed to running the university with quality, invigorating the university through characteristics, and strengthening the university by talents. Moreover, it plays an active part in catching up with national strategies and requirements of regional economic and social development through cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents to boost the leading role of manufacturing industry in Guangdong province and development of manufacturing industry in Guangzhou. It focuses on the full potential of higher education to promote high-quality development with its quality of talent cultivation and social reputation keeping improving. There have been 67,000 students graduated from GCUT since its establishment. Its average employment rate of graduates and quality of employment rank among the top compared with similar colleges and universities.
